Account Deletion Policy
Purpose
This policy defines the process by which users can request the deletion of their accounts from the Picker Logistic Solutions platform and ensures compliance with U.S. standards and international data protection regulations (such as GDPR for EU users).
1. Account Deletion Request
Policy:
• Eligibility: Any registered user, whether a truck owner or client, can request to delete their account at any time. The request must come from the account holder's registered email address.
How to Delete Your Account: We provide two convenient ways to delete your Picker account:
• In-App Deletion:
- Open the Picker App.
- Go to the "My Account" tab.
- Scroll down and tap on "Delete Account."
- Confirm the deletion to permanently remove your account and associated data.
• Email Request:
- Send an email to info@thepicker.co from your registered email address.
- Use the subject line: "Account Deletion Request."
- Clearly mention that you want to delete your account and include your registered phone number or email ID for verification.
• Request Process:
- Users wishing to delete their accounts should submit a formal request via email to our customer care team at info@thepicker.co. The request should clearly state the desire to delete the account and may include any relevant details for identification purposes.
- The user's email request should also specify whether they want the complete deletion of their account or just the removal of personal data.
2. Verification of Account Deletion
Policy:
• Verification Process: Once a deletion request is received, Picker Logistic Solutions will verify the identity of the user making the request. This step is necessary to prevent unauthorized deletion and ensure that the account holder is the one initiating the request.
- Verification may involve confirming personal details and other identifying information on the account.
• Timing: After verification, the account deletion will be processed within 10-15 business days, depending on the complexity of the request and the data involved.
3. Account Deletion Conditions
Policy:
• Outstanding Balances: If there are any outstanding payments, dues, or unresolved issues (such as pending bookings or disputes), the account deletion request may be delayed or cannot be processed until all matters are settled.
• Service Impact: Account deletion will result in the loss of access to all services associated with the account, including current or future bookings. Users should ensure they have resolved any active transactions before submitting the deletion request.
4. Data Retention and Deletion Compliance
Policy:
• U.S. Standards: In accordance with U.S. data protection laws (including the California Consumer Privacy Act, CCPA), users have the right to request the deletion of personal data collected by Picker Logistic Solutions. However, the platform may retain some information as required by law for legal, financial, or regulatory purposes.
- For example, financial transaction records, tax-related documents, or disputes may be retained for a limited period to comply with applicable laws.
• International Standards (GDPR - EU users): Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for users in the European Union, individuals have the right to request complete deletion of their personal data. If users request account deletion, the data controller (Picker Logistic Solutions) will ensure that all personal data is erased unless retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., tax compliance).
- Right to Erasure: In the case of international users, including EU residents, if the data subject has requested erasure and all legal grounds for retaining the data have been examined, the platform will erase all personal data within 30 calendar days.
5. Data Backup & Security
Policy:
• Backup Data: Deleting an account will remove access to the user's data from the platform's active systems. However, some residual data may remain in backup archives for a period of time, in compliance with our data retention policy.
• Security: Picker Logistic Solutions will ensure that any retained data is stored securely and only accessible to authorized personnel. Users' data will not be used for any purposes other than complying with legal or regulatory requirements.
6. Revocation of Deletion Request
Policy:
• User-Initiated Revocation: Users have the right to revoke their account deletion request within 5 business days after submitting the request. To revoke, the user must send an email to info@thepicker.co with the subject line: "Revoke Account Deletion Request".
• After the 5-day window, the deletion request will be processed, and the account will be permanently deleted.
7. Post-Deletion Information
Policy:
• No Access After Deletion: After the account deletion is complete, the user will no longer have access to any past bookings, documents, or other records stored on the platform. Any previous data will be permanently erased unless retention is required by applicable law.
• Impact on Service: Post-deletion, users will be unable to book trucks, access services, or use any part of the Picker Logistic Solutions platform.

9. Legal Disclaimers and Limitations
Policy:
• Retention of Legal Data: Picker Logistic Solutions may be required to retain certain user data due to legal obligations, such as for tax purposes, fraud prevention, or disputes. In such cases, the deletion of user data may be limited.
• No Liability: Picker Logistic Solutions will not be liable for any issues arising from the account deletion process, including any loss of data or inability to access previous service records.
